Policy Analyst - Wen Liu
I was born in China and immigrated to the United States in 1990. I moved around quite a bit and settled in Brooklyn, New York. I saw 9/11 happen right in front of my eyes during my senior year in American History class. After graduation, I served 4 years in the U.S. Navy and obtained my Bachelor's Degree while I was on active duty. After leaving the military, I continued by education using the post 9/11 GI-Bill to study law. After getting my J.D., I entered Federal service under the Presidential Management Fellows program and have been here ever since as a policy analyst. I feel that the military helped me build a solid foundation in leadership and responsibility that I use every day and serving our nation was the best thing that I ever did for myself personally and professionally. I am very grateful that I can continue to serve my country in the Civil Service and I feel blessed everyday that I am given this opportunity. My family came here 26 years ago looking for the American Dream, I can proudly say that I've achieved that dream today.
